Kariaotahi School Reunion 2011
Celebrating our school and collecting our stories
We are organising a Kariaotahi School Reunion on Saturday 16th April, 2011 at Kariaotahi School.
Our aim is to have an informal gathering over a shared lunch where past pupils can meet and have an opportunity for more of your stories to be collected to add to those already published in the 2001 reunion booklet.
With today’s modern technology, there are many more ways history can be recorded and preserved. We would like to extend that history by creating an internet site which could include facsimiles of paper records, e.g. photos, reports, exercise books, letters, calf club certificates or ribbons, flat sewing samples or anything else which could be photocopied. We could also video some of the “I remember when…” conversations and publish these with the participants’ permission.
It is so important that “our” Kariaotahi School history is preserved and accessible in the future.
Where: Kariaotahi School
When: Saturday 16th April 2011, 11:00am – 2:00pm approximately
Cost: $10 per person (pay on the day if easier)
Bring: Plate of food to share for lunch – finger food preferred
Your memories and your memorabilia
We will have a scanner/photocopier /photographer available on the day so we can take copies of your memorabilia and you can take them home again.
